Free One-Shot Adventure for Levels 1-20
The Lost Convent is a dark mystery adventure suitable for a party of any level and size!
This D&D 5E “one-shot” adventure is 17 pages long and can be played in one session. It’s easy to use in most campaign worlds, as a side-trek. It’s written for the campaign world where To Catch A Unicorn takes place, and can be played as an entry or exit session to that adventure.
The party comes upon a lone convent in the wilderness. The characters must learn its dark secret and survive the night. The conventβs particular secret makes it possible for a party of any level and size to play the adventure straight away, with minimal need for the DM to change or rescale the encounters. But be warned – combat and lethal dangers do await…! π
The adventure is available for free to all Night Owl subscribers. Just sign up on this website and the adventure will be sent as a PDF to your email. Links to separate digital files of the adventure’s maps are also included.
As a dark and stormy night approaches, get ready for a mystery that will test any adventuring party…! π
New Magic Item
The Gargoyle Figurine is just published. This little figurine can turn into a life-sized, animated gargoyle that will serve you. But things are never that easy. The gargoyle has a personality all its own and although it has to carry out your commands, it may well serve up an unexpected roleplaying situation while doing so …!

Do not pat this cat!
A new monster has just been published – the fiendcat.
This should be the first critter among more to come: keep an eye out – and your swords ready!
Cats are so agile and hard to kill that it’s said they have nine lives. In the case of the fiendcat, this is literally true … I already feel very bad for many groups of adventurers! π
