Enhance Your Roleplaying Sessions with the Mirewood Weather Table

We’re excited to share a little bonus content that can add an extra layer of immersion to your roleplaying sessions: the Mirewood Weather Table!

Originally crafted to complement the atmospheric setting of our latest adventure, Heroes’ Call to Adventure, this table works equally well for many campaign settings. Whether your party is trekking through misty forests, navigating open plains, or exploring mysterious valleys, this table will help you quickly and evocatively describe the start and continuation of the party’s adventuring day! Use the table to:

  • Create a sense of time passing during journeys
  • Set the mood for the setting and for wilderness encounters
  • Allow something small to happen in-between combat encounters and adventure set-pieces
  • Add an element of unpredictability to the setting: changing visibility and calamitous weather may have a direct impact on the party’s genius plans… 😉

Download the table for free here: Mirewood Weather Table download.

The table was inspired by the rich, enigmatic forest featured in Heroes’ Call to Adventure. Check out the adventure book for levels 1-3 here: Heroes’ Call.

Happy gaming!

Encounter With an Undead Stalker

The fall of footsteps can be heard, approaching the party’s campsite in the wilderness. “Who goes there?”

This time, it’s an undead knight with a murderous mission to fulfil, but there are ways to stop him, and he is not as bad as he first might seem.

Wilderness encounters are always good to have handy. Here is a full encounter with a unique undead NPC that can be thrown into most adventures or campaigns.

This encounter is written as an additional one for the Angels & Devils Trilogy, but can be used pretty much right away in most games – just insert one of your party’s long-term opponents as the responsible for this undead curse.

The encounter is found on the More Homebrew page, here:

New Magic Item

The Gargoyle Figurine is just published. This little figurine can turn into a life-sized, animated gargoyle that will serve you. But things are never that easy. The gargoyle has a personality all its own and although it has to carry out your commands, it may well serve up an unexpected roleplaying situation while doing so …!

Do not pat this cat!

A new monster has just been published – the fiendcat.

This should be the first critter among more to come: keep an eye out – and your swords ready!

Cats are so agile and hard to kill that it’s said they have nine lives. In the case of the fiendcat, this is literally true … I already feel very bad for many groups of adventurers! 😉
